Using the service

You may use My Dress Finder for lawful personal shopping. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, automate excessive requests, or attempt to bypass its security or rate limits.

Product information

Prices, availability, descriptions, images, delivery eligibility, and merchant policies can change. Confirm all information with the merchant before purchasing.

Affiliate and sponsored links

Links are not currently affiliate or sponsored links. If this changes, affected links will be clearly identified, and My Dress Finder may earn compensation from an attributed purchase without increasing the price you pay.

Trademarks

Shopify and merchant names belong to their respective owners. My Dress Finder is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. My Dress Finder does not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete merchant coverage, or that a product will remain available. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for merchant products, transactions, delivery, returns, or indirect losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your place of residence applies. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear a dispute.

Privacy

The operator of My Dress Finder, based in London, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the first-party information described here. Contact privacy@mydressfinder.com with privacy questions or requests.

Information used to provide the service

Every search is sent to Shopify's Global Catalog with the dress description, selected filters, destination country, and browser-language context. Shopify processes that request to return products. My Dress Finder keeps limited operational events such as the event type, result count, destination country, product or seller identifiers, categorized errors, and a random search identifier so it can secure the service, diagnose failures, and measure whether search works.

Operational measurement

My Dress Finder records a limited first-party funnel without analytics cookies. It does not store search text, browser language, session identifiers, names, email addresses, or IP addresses in its event database. Random search IDs connect a search outcome with later product or checkout clicks but are not connected to an account.

Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you choose Allow in Analytics choices. If allowed, Google may set analytics cookies and receives page and acquisition data plus aggregate search, result, product-click, and checkout-click events. My Dress Finder never sends search descriptions, product or variant IDs, merchant domains, names, email addresses, or its first-party random search ID to Google. You can withdraw consent through Analytics choices in the footer.

Legal bases and retention

Optional Google Analytics processing relies on consent. Limited first-party operational processing is used for the legitimate interests of protecting, operating, and evaluating the service. First-party operational events are automatically deleted after 30 days. The Google Analytics property is configured for two-month event-data retention and remains subject to Google's privacy and retention practices. Shopify product result payloads and merchant images are not stored in My Dress Finder's database.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides hosting and database services, Shopify provides product search, and Google provides optional analytics only after consent. Product images load directly from merchant or content-delivery hosts with the page referrer suppressed. These providers may process data outside your country under their own legal safeguards. A destination merchant's privacy policy applies after you follow its link.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, or request a portable copy. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office. Because My Dress Finder does not require an account, include the approximate time and search details needed to locate a record when contacting privacy@mydressfinder.com.
